Time to take a few minutes off...

Ever had that feeling that there’s so much going on that you can’t think what to tell people first? It’s like that at Pressure Vacuum Level right now. Every time you make coffee, you find that one of the team isn’t around for coffee because they just went abroad to get a new distributorship. Then they come back with a pile of cardboard boxes, tell you they are important and stack them up in front of the coffee machine. They tell you there are urgent product evaluations to do, that the boxes will be moved tomorrow after the initial tests and that they will be working on the tests overnight. Then they take a phone call, shout that they have to catch an urgent flight to Tokyo, grab somebody else’s overnight bag and head to Heathrow. Just after they get there, they phone to apologise about the boxes blocking off the coffee machine, say that they have the wrong bag and that it doesn’t matter because they always fancied trying cross-dressing. But does the office know the Japanese etiquette for a bloke with a beard arriving at a meeting in stockings and suspenders?

You get the message. In the last few weeks, PVL, which already has the most varied stock in Britain of essential engineering components, has become the UK distributor for Pneumission solenoid valves, Greisinger Electronics, Martens Elektronik transmitters, sensors, displays, indicators and switcher repeater monitoring relays plus loads of other stuff from GHM of Germany. There are now two piles of cardboard boxes beside the coffee machine, so we moved the coffee machine. Hardly any of the new stock is on the web site yet (that’s www.pvl.co.uk) and if you come here asking to see the range of Greisinger EASYbus systems, we shall of course be delighted to see you, will be pleased to supply some coffee (if we can find the machine) but probably won’t have any EASYbus products to show you, although we do have the catalogue. And it will all soon be on www.pvl.co.uk. Promise!

But we have stacks of other stuff to keep you interested while we’re waiting for the Greisinger stock to arrive and for the guy in the stockings and suspenders to arrive back with a signed contract. Life at PVL is not without stress, but it is hugely enjoyable. Or so the boss tells us when we phone him at the weekend while he is feeding his Koi.

Which reminds me that I must remind him that PVL is now UK distributor for Martens Elektronik water analysis systems and conductivity probes. Could make the Koi even more pampered than they are already.
