TD1000 Pressure Transducer
The TD1000 is a revolutionary pressure transducer utilizing Digital Technology, the first of its kind.
Most pressure transducers in use today use the same basic analog design circuitry by measuring a low level signal, amplifying and filtering this signal then conditioning it to the desired output.
The TD 1000 utilizes a patented design whereby the strain/pressure is measured with digital circuitry making it more noise immune, more reliable, more flexible, less manufacturing time thus resulting in a higher quality, lower cost product with quicker delivery times than typical analog design transducers. A good analogy would be the difference between an analog TV signal to a high def digital TV. The analog TV was built on technology from over 50 years ago. The digital high def utilizes the latest technology providing higher reliability, higher resolution and cleaner signals.
The TD1000 and its digital circuitry also allows for an optional built-in temperature switch or pressure switch function. This feature allows customers to have a digital output when the temperature or pressure reaches a predetermined set point or alarm point thus reducing the need for separate alarm devices. The digital temperature output can also provide a signal that provides information to the machines controller that the machine is up at operating temperature and is ready to be cycled.
An industry’s first is the wide operating temperature range of the TD1000. The TD1000 operates accurately in temperature ranges where competitive units barely function. This is important for applications of extreme high or low temperatures or applications where large swings in temperatures would cause lower grade transducers to produce inaccurate readings.
With its unique redundant sensing elements, the TD 1000 keeps working if a sensing element goes bad while other competitive units would fail. This is important for high shock/high vibration or mission critical applications where downtime is not an option!
The TD 1000 is comprised of stainless steel construction and a one piece header design eliminating potential leak points as with competitive weld-on header designs. Also with the TD1000 features a large machined orifice allowing fast unrestricted flow allowing fast updates. Some competitive units utilize small orifices or snubbers to protect their units from over pressure but this also delays the true pressure and delays accurate pressure change updates. Over pressure is also a thing of the past with configurable pressure ranges, 4 times or even 10 times over pressure protection is possible with the TD 1000.
Water intrusion is a thing of the past with TD1000’s optional IP69K connector seal. This pressure washer rated transducer makes it a perfect fit for applications requiring not only wash down rating but pressure washer rating. Typical applications are mobile hydraulics, garbage trucks, wood chippers or any application where customers use high pressure washers to clean the equipment.
