Blog: PVL go abroad

time to take a few minutes off
PVL Go Abroad...

The PVL trade mission to Barcelona last week turned out to have two participants, the Head of Sales and Marketing and the Managing Director, and when the Managing Director goes anywhere interesting he always takes his digital SLR.

So, instead of all work and no play, for at least some of the time, the combined powerhouse of all that’s commercial at PVL seemed to be, well, enjoying themselves. As always, David Almond (Sales and Marketing Supremo, intrepid traveller and bringer back of boxes to surround the coffee machine) kept his feet on the ground – he’s the one on the right. I wish I could say that the colourful guy with no visible means of support was the Managing Director, but, no – Steve Moorey was operating the camera. So you’ll have to figure out for yourselves why Barcelona’s most photographed floating voter is illustrating this blog.

The excursion to Barcelona at the same time as the Pope proved to be one of the more successful of recent times, because the intrepid product finders arrived back blessed with the UK distributorship for specialist Spanish manufacturer MEI. These guys have one of the finest ranges of industrial pressure gauges in the world. So now, not only has the PVL office coffee machine once more disappeared behind a new pile of cardboard boxes containing new products, but so has the table the coffee machine stands on. The guys frantically putting dozens of MEI products on the new www.pvl.co.uk web site are being heavily leaned on by the others in the office, who haven’t had a coffee since Friday.

So PVL is now able to offer all our customers the highest quality gauges in Europe at much more competitive prices than the gauges we had before. MEI have more than 50 years’ experience in pressure gauges and thermometers and all their products comply with ISO 9001:2000. Just look at these prices! Dry Pressure Gauges from £2.58; Glycerine Pressure Gauges from £6.27; Industrial Pressure Gauges from £7.20; Stainless Steel Pressure Gauges from £26.21; Low Pressure Gauges from £28.17; Digital Pressure Gauges from £147.

And all the necessary accessories and fittings are in the warehouse too – or at least, they will be when all the boxes around the coffee machine have been opened, the exciting new products inside them have become new items on the web site and the boxes and their contents have been moved to increase the clutter in the warehouse. Take a look at www.pvl.co.uk on about Friday 12th of November.

And just a thought – How would you ever know that a word was mis-spelled in the dictionary?
