• Riko have introduced a new range of MFS level switches which have a gland at the cable entry point to prevent the ingress of moisture. A unique fitting also enables a plastic tube to be fitted over the gland, which then enables the level switch to meet the requirements of IP65. Each switch can be configured for normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC) contacts, simply by removing and reversing the float.

The heart of the Honsberg-flow rate sensor XF is an etched 0.1mm strong stainless steel metal sheet, which is proportionally bent due to the flow rate. The metal sheet is pressed against a stop unit which is shaped in such a form that the metal sheet returns into its original position without any additional stress. The position of the metal sheet closes the tube completely when there is no flow. The metering range of this simple metering principle is >100:1 (e.g. 0.5..80l/min in a ¾“-tube). The detection of the bending position and therewith the measuring of the active flow happens by means of a small encased magnet on the metal sheet and an analogue hall sensor which is positioned outside the flow. Different sensors of evaluation electronics offer analogue outputs like 0..10V, 4..20mA, frequencies as well as displaying the measured value and switch-point.
