Blog: Latest from the PVL office

Latest from the PVL office....

This week, your friendly PVL blog writer tried to get the latest PVL news by phoning the Head of Sales and Marketing. No reply. Instead, he received a text saying that David Almond was just boarding at Gatwick Airport and would be back soon. Not a hint of where he has gone this time, or of whether he would be bringing back yet another load of boxes full of new products to be put on to the web site.

So everyone in the PVL office is just a little tense. Not to mention the despatch manager in the warehouse, who has only just been able to clear on to the warehouse shelves the stack of cardboard boxes that came from the guys who do all the clever computer stuff, putting products on to www.pvl.co.uk and on to the new e-commerce site, www.epvl.co.uk. Just as he has at last been able to
get to his kettle to make coffee again, the despatch manager is worrying about next week.

Mind you, he has been so busy making up orders for customers that he has had very little time for coffee during the past two weeks. PVL’s new distributorships, and the exciting new ranges of products that they have brought to the web sites are selling like cut-price turkeys at Christmas.

Our new range of pressure and vacuum gauges from Mei and the modular easy-to-install EASYBus system from Greisinger, not to mention the Greisinger hand-held industrial monitoring instruments have jacked up sales enquiries to unprecedented levels. The engineering team have more calls coming into 01892 664499 than ever before.

So you can understand why the despatch manager is drinking a lot of coffee while his kettle is not blocked in by piles of new products, why the office is a shade tense as it waits to hear where the intrepid David Almond has gone this time, and why a space has already been cleared beside the office coffee machine for more cardboard boxes.

More news next week.
