International Rally Drivers at PVL....

If you hear someone doing handbrake turns in your car park, that won’t be Shaun Martin, PVL’s new Consultant Engineer. Because Shaun wouldn’t do naughty things like that, even though he could, because he is a hugely experienced forest rally driver. Despite finishing 23rd overall in the 2010 Wales Rally GB National (the RAC Rally’s latest name) as an independent entrant in a home-prepared Subaru Impreza with his brother as co-driver, calling the pace notes, Shaun is a level-headed sort of chap. He has to be as the Chairman of the International Rally Drivers Club and as a member of the Motorsports Association (MSA) Rallies Committee.

Shaun is now PVL’s Consultant Engineer in the field, using his years of experience as a design engineer in mechanical engineering to help customers with applications and products choice. If you happen to be building a nuclear reactor, Shaun is probably your man, because he served his apprenticeship with the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority at Windscale. Or if you are working with continuous casting machines in the steel industry, Shaun can help – he has designed them. Or if flight simulators are your bag, Shaun knows a thing or two that could be useful to you, because he has designed them too.

The long and short of it is that Shaun is good at solving engineering problems, whether while driving at 130 mph through a forest or working with you on pressure differential issues. Give him a call on 01892 664499, or on his mobile 07889720781 (but please not during the 2011 Wales GB Rally in November) and he will lend a hand. Whatever the problem.
