Champions league at PVL... Back in November, when PVL’s Head of Sales and Marketing, David Almond, visited Elettrotec in Milan to arrange for an increased supply of the superb Elettrotec pressure, flow and temperature switches to meet burgeoning PVL sales, he arrived the day after Tottenham Hotspur beat Inter Milan for the first time ever in the Champions’ League. David, who is a Tottenham Hotspur season ticket holder, is well known at Elettrotec as a football fan, and was greeted with cheery banter on all sides. Spurs beating Inter was clearly, after all, an unfortunate accident, and a Tottenham supporter should be humoured in his moment of triumph. A week ago he was back in Milan, and arrived the week after Tottenham beat AC Milan 1 – 0, this time in Italy. The Elettrotec management team, all Inter fans, found this result a lot more enjoyable. They even managed to locate one AC fan on the factory floor and took great delight in introducing David to him. Any rumours that David only visits Milan after a Spurs’ win are, of course, completely false. Fortunately, PVL sales of Elettrotec products, especially the remarkable PMN pressure switch, have been rapidly rising, as have sales of products from Honsberg, Kelco, Riko, Emco and others for whom PVL is UK distributor. More products to offer the hundreds of UK companies who phone 01892 664499 to talk to the PVL engineering team, or go to www.pvl.co.uk, was exactly what David needed. However, despite all this continuing sales success, PVL is still not quite in the position of being able to emulate Alcoa Howmet in Exeter, who, The Guardian recently reported, accidentally paid one of the company’s engineers an extra £2million in his pay packet. That’s more than Gareth Bale earns in a month! P.S Our web master would like to disassociate himself from this week’s blog as he is an Arsenal fan. |
